Reporting to the Director of Pricing, this role offers the opportunity to play a key role in evaluating and executing complex flow reinsurance transactions.
Underwriter/ Junior Underwriter Agriculture – 29751
The holder of this position will be responsible for underwriting agriculture treaty business with the primary goal to develop new business and secure renewals in order to deliver a profitable portfolio under her/his management.

Overview
Key Duties (Including but not limited to):
- Support the Agriculture Underwriting team in underwriting global agriculture treaty business in line with in accordance with Company underwriting and pricing guidelines
- Assist in the analysis and assessment of reinsurance submissions, including exposure data, historical loss experience and contract structures
- Support senior underwriters in renewal preparation, including comparison of expiring vs. renewal terms, data refreshes and internal approval documentation
- Work in close cooperation with the Agriculture Pricing Actuary on pricing, modelling inputs and sensitivity analyses
Qualifications required:
- University degree or similar education, preferably with a business, mathematical or agricultural focus
- Language skills: good command of German and English
Experience required:
- Up to 3 years of experience in the reinsurance industry, ideally in Agriculture, are an advantage
- Solid understanding of statistics or financial analysis
- IT skills: MS Office, statistical analytics, experience with actuarial pricing tools
