Overview
Key Duties (Including but not limited to):
Prompt and accurate claims handling in full compliance with external and internal minimum standards, policies and procedure·
Handle claims within authority and seek and maintain necessary approval from line manager for handling claims above authority
Qualifications required:
Good LOB-specific claim knowledge
Knowledge of the respective claims environment (as applicable)
Technical knowledge – legal principles, policy wordings, (re)insurance market practice
Preference for (re)insurance qualifications in progress (e.g. ACII or equivalent
Experience required:
Background in adjusting claims independently within own authority level
working knowledge of relevant (re)insurance market systems (e.g. ECF / CLASS or equivalent)
Able to communicate confidently internal and external and experienced in meetings with key stakeholders in the business such as underwriters, actuaries, in-house legal and/or the outwards reinsurance team
