Overview

Key responsibilities including however, not limited to the following:

  • Handling and booking reinsurance accounts in accordance with internal standards, guidelines and processes
  • Managing related correspondence with cedants and brokers
  • Handling incoming and outgoing remittances
  • Performing regular data quality checks using BI reports
  • Using and further developing automated processes and eMessaging solutions within Technical Accounting
  • Working closely with Underwriting, Claims and Finance, including the proactive sharing of relevant information
  • Ensuring accurate, timely and high-quality processing of your portfolio.

 

Qualifications required:

  • Commercial apprenticeship or comparable qualification

Experience required:

  • 3–5 years of professional experience in Reinsurance Technical Accounting
  • Sound knowledge of Technical Accounting processes and systems; experience with SICS is strongly preferred
  • Independent, reliable and accurate working style, with the ability to prioritize effectively and maintain a high level of quality during peak workload periods
  • Open and forward-looking mindset, with an interest in new technologies, automation and process improvements
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach when working with internal and external stakeholders
  • Knowledge of retrocession accounting is an advantage
  • Fluent written and spoken English; German and Spanish are considered an asset
