In the role of Reinsurance Finance & Accounting Expert, you’ll take on a wide range of responsibilities across accounting, controlling, and reporting, contributing to the financial backbone of their reinsurance operations.

Overview

Key Duties (Including but not limited to):

  • Assist in preparing IFRS financial statements for the Company, managing the ledger for IFRS17 in SAP FI and SAP FPSL.
  • Support timely completion of financial statements according to Swiss GAAP/OR for the Company, using the local ledger in SAP FI.
  • Support consolidation and reconciliation processes
  • Assist with reinsurance settlements and claims administration
  • Calculate and post reinsurance transactions

Qualifications required:

  • University degree in business administration or a professional certificate in finance and accounting
  • Excellent completion of a commercial apprenticeship or similar training

Experience required:

  • Solid business administration knowledge and several years of practical accounting experience in a primary and/or reinsurance company
  • Familiarity with Swiss legislation, supervisory guidelines, and the insurance market is a plus
  • Knowledge of IFRS and/or Swiss GAAP/OR accounting regulations a strong advantage
  • Proficiency in English, German is a plus
