To support their expansion, they are seeking an experienced accounting and reporting professional to strengthen their Corporate Accounting team.

Overview

Key Duties (Including but not limited to):

  • Own the monthly and quarterly close and perform accounting activities related to the newly established insurance carrier under both Belgian accounting principles and IFRS
  • Provide accounting support to the reinsurance and general accounting teams
  • Produce statutory accounts and regulatory filing under Belgian GAAP
  • Prepare IFRS reporting packages for Group consolidation and deliver management reporting with supporting commentary

Qualifications required:

  • Academic degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or Sciences
  • You are fluent in English. Dutch or French are a plus

Experience required:

  • 5+ years’ experience in accounting or audit, preferably in the financial services industry or a large corporate. Experience in insurance/reinsurance is a plus
  • Good command of Belgian accounting standards and IFRS. Keen interest in developing accounting standards knowledge. Exposure to IFRS17 is an asset
  • Experience with mainstream ERPs and reporting tools. Knowledge of NetSuite, SAP or OneStream are a plus
