Actuarial Associate Partner – 29994

As an Actuarial Associate Partner, you will be a lead consultant in Retirement Consulting group advising Defined Benefit pension schemes. This is an opportunity to work across a broader range of clients and challenges following the recent merger of the Corporate and Trustee advisory arms into one combined team.

Overview

Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Advising pension scheme trustees and working with their sponsors on all aspects of their pensions issues, thereby enabling them to meet their pensions obligations and achieve their wider objectives
  • Working with Senior Partners and Partners on their very largest client relationships and helping them to develop those relationships
  • Leading relationships with clients, with accountability for developing those relationships
  • Continuing the development of relationships with Professional Trustees and prospective clients and presence in local markets

Qualifications required:

  • Qualified actuary, with extensive post-qualification experience
  • Holding a Scheme Actuary certificate is helpful but not essential

Experience required:

  • Track record in leading client relationships and/or working with Senior Partners and Partners on larger clients
  • Relevant industry experience (retirement/pensions) and consulting experience coupled with sound technical capability
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and comfortable in leading discussions with trustees and pension scheme sponsors
  • Able to encourage and develop other colleagues, and work well within diverse teams
  • Whilst having an eye for detail, also capable in advising at a strategic level
