More recently Maria has been instrumental in leading Internal Audits and Risk assessments across the organisation to ensure that best practice is provided for our clients. To achieve this she balances the interests of the company, shareholders and other stakeholders by ensuring long-term growth that is both sustainable and profitable.

She ensures that all regulatory obligations are met and secures the confidence of clients by upholding the highest standards of corporate governance.

Prior to starting the Emerald Group with her husband Jeff, Maria held a Senior management position with an international Accountancy recruiter. She speaks fluent French and has held previous roles in Air France and Surrey Police. She lives on Dartmoor and enjoys long walks and spending time with her grandchildren.
