Jamie joined the Emerald Group in September 2024.

Jamie has previously worked in hospitality for Plymouth Argyle where he developed great communication and networking skills. He now specialises in the Non-Life Actuarial sectors across personal, commercial and London market lines for the Emerald Group.

In his spare time, Jamie enjoys going to the gym and spending time with his family. He is a keen reader, particularly in finance and psychology books. He is also a self-taught musician.

The purpose of this role is to build high-quality risk models that estimate risk costs (frequency, severity and pure premium) as accurately as possible using state-of-the-art techniques. Ensure rigorous data cleansing and preparation, validate model outputs against financial results and portfolio performance, produce comprehensive documentation, and actively incorporate feedback from key stakeholders (Portfolio, Reserving and Underwriting) to refine and maintain models.
