Work closely with the SVP, Portfolio Manager to provide pricing and deal analysis support, including pricing model development and individual reinsurance treaty pricing

Overview

Key Duties (including but not limited to):

  • Provide reinsurance deal and portfolio pricing MI and insight to SVP, Portfolio Manager
  • Contribute to the update, review, and maintenance of pricing documentation, procedures, and policy documents
  • Provide actuarial support to the wider objectives of the Envelop and external capacity providers’ underwriting and actuarial teams, including input on reserving, exposure management, and capital modelling as required
  • Assist the SVP, Portfolio Manager with analytical support as required

Qualifications required:

  • degree(s) in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or other mathematical based subject
  • recognised actuarial designation or significant progress towards actuarial designation

Experience required:

  • minimum 10 years within specialty and property reinsurance lines, with significant experience in pricing
  • proven ability to build and develop pricing models
  • good track record in working closely with both actuarial and underwriting teams to analyze and evaluate risks
  • proven ability to manipulate data (SQL, Python) and analyze internal and external data for use within pricing and portfolio management
