Overview
Key Duties (Including but not limited to):
- Develop, refine, and maintain pricing models for a range of specialty treaty products—leveraging both client data and broader market insights
- Utilize actuarial methods and pricing models to quantify risk, validate assumptions, and provide clear, actionable recommendations to stakeholders
- Collaborate with exposure management and data teams regarding portfolio insights, model validation, and development of MI
- Support business planning, capital modelling, and strategic portfolio steering through insightful analysis and reporting
Qualifications required:
- Qualified actuary (ACAS, FCAS, ASA FSA, AIA, FIA or equivalent), quantitative specialist, or experienced catastrophe modeler with a strong background in (re)insurance pricing or risk analysis
Experience required:
- Experience with vendor catastrophe models and actuarial pricing tools and methodologies relevant to specialty treaty business
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to communicate technical concepts to both specialists and non-technical stakeholders
- High level of proficiency in Excel, SQL, Python, R, or similar analytical tools
