Overview
Key Duties (Including but not limited to):
- Support the Head of Financial Risk and Insights by taking the lead role to shape and oversee the risk actuarial work plan, collaborating with our senior risk actuaries
- Manage and coach a small team who work with the UK business (Life and P&C) to enhance the assessments of financial and insurance risks, with a specific focus on emerging risk and climate change risk
- Lead your team to work collaboratively with the UK Risk team to automate and simplify the Risk reporting using data visualisation and analytics tools
- Guide the UK Risk technical business partnering on financial and insurance risk to support the business manage exposures within tolerances and appetite
Experience required:
- This role is for an experienced professional with strong business acumen, and a good understanding of the UK insurance market and regulations
- You must have demonstrable experience of financial risk oversight, preferably within the insurance sector
- Strong analytical and data visualization skills, with experience in using data and trend analysis to provide insights and support decisions
- Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to a broad range of stakeholders and experience of writing reports for senior stakeholders and Boards
