Head of Reinsurance Analytics – 30108

As Head of Reinsurance Analytics, you will lead the Analytics Reinsurance department and shape the analytics capabilities supporting the Group’s global reinsurance business. You will be responsible for the strategic and operational development of Actuarial, CAT Modelling and Portfolio Modelling, and will work closely with the Executive Board, Underwriting, Risk Management and other senior stakeholders.

Overview

Key responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Develop and implement the analytics strategy for the Group’s global reinsurance business
  • Design and implement a cross-location Analytics Target Operating Model for all reinsurance risk carriers within the Group
  • Provide functional leadership and further develop the Analytics Reinsurance department including Actuarial, CAT Modelling and Portfolio Modelling functions
  • Advance actuarial methods and risk models for the global P&C and Specialty Lines portfolio
  • Enhance data- and model-driven decision support in close collaboration with for Underwriting, Risk Management and the Executive Committee

 

Qualifications required:

  • A successfully completed university degree in Mathematics, Business Mathematics, Geosciences or a comparable discipline
  • Completed actuarial qualification, e.g. SAV, DAV or similar

Experience required:

  • Several years of leadership experience in an analytics-driven function at a primary insurer, reinsurer or reinsurance broker
  • A strong track record of developing interdisciplinary teams across locations and fostering employee growth
  • Demonstrated experience in transforming existing structures and processes within Reinsurance Analytics
  • Proven experience collaborating with Executive Boards, Underwriting, Risk Management and other senior stakeholders
  • Excellent written and spoken German and English
