Overview
Key Duties (Including but not limited to):
- Taking responsibility of key aspects of project delivery, working closely with the project lead and the wider team to deliver high-quality work on time and within budget
- Stepping into new opportunities with enthusiasm, showing initiative and a genuine interest in shaping how we deliver for clients
- Working directly with clients (virtually and onsite), either independently or as part of a wider Company team
- Exploring new and developing areas of research (eg machine learning, climate change or cyber risk), and taking the initiative to develop your knowledge
Experience required:
- At least 3 years’ experience in non-life insurance, working towards or having recently achieved Fellowship of the Institute and Faculty of actuaries and/or the Society of Actuaries in Ireland (or equivalent)
- Strong grounding in non-life reserving. Experience in capital modelling, pricing, IFRS-17, risk and/or machine learning techniques is beneficial but not essential
- An ability to explain technical matters clearly and simply, including to non-experts. You have a strong eye for detail, balanced this ability to identify and focus on the issues that matter most
- Experience with coding languages, particularly R and/or Python, would be beneficial
