Overview
Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Supporting the pricing and underwriting teams with individual risk pricing and underwriting of reinsurance contracts
- Continually refining pricing tools and processes
- Supporting the reserving team with the reserving process, including data preparation, reserve analysis and projections, benchmarking, and preparation of results for presentation at the Reserving Committee
- Supporting the capital team with Igloo modelling, including streamlining data flows, investigating data discrepancies, and interpreting results
Qualifications required:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative discipline such as Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or similar
- Progressing towards qualification with a globally recognized actuarial organization such as the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries or Casualty Actuarial Society
Experience required:
- 2+ years of actuarial experience, ideally focused on reinsurance
- Familiarity with Python, SQL and other programming languages, including those used in actuarial software
- Team oriented, collaborative approach to problem solving
- Enthusiasm to develop knowledge and expertise in a wide range of fields
