Overview
Key Duties (including but not limited to):
- Acting as an expert on model building to develop efficient, robust, and flexible tools to be used across the enterprise
- Contributing to a wide breadth of complex subjects in a technical capacity
- Effectively communicating the merits and limitations of models to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Constructing optimized processes through the use of automation; ensuring appropriate governance and controls are in place for all processes
- Assist other team members with implementation of internal reserving platform
Qualifications required:
- Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Science, Actuarial Science, Mathematics or Finance
- Qualified Actuary preferred (FSA preferred or FIA) or near qualification
Experience required:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, including life and/or annuity product development, reinsurance, insurance M&A, and valuation / financial reporting
- A very strong command of Microsoft Excel
- Strong skills / experience in object-oriented programming and automation
- Strong skills / experience in actuarial modeling (GGY Axis and/or MG-Alfa preferred) of life and annuity products
- Experience in data engineering and/or analytics using industry standard languages (Python, SQL, R)
