How do I become an Emerald Group consultant?
You do not necessarily need previous recruitment experience when you join The Emerald Group. In fact often, a fresh approach can be highly beneficial. To succeed, you’ll need drive, enthusiasm, passion and hunger. While a competitive nature will help motivate you to deliver above our clients expectations, it is vital that you have the ability to share information with your colleagues. We operate within a highly supportive environment, and this is part of the reason we're able to provide the kind of consultative service that keeps our clients and candidates coming back again and again.

Our location and working environment
The Emerald Group office is in Basingstoke, UK. We are a leading recruiter within our field and offer a truly global perspective.

Training and Personal Development
The Emerald Group has a real interest in the professional development of our staff. We are committed to recruiting and retaining exceptional people and providing them with on- going training and career development. On joining you will receive extensive training on both recruitment techniques and the industries we service. Initially the training will be a mix of class room based and ‘on the job’ learning with our training manager. We have a bespoke training manual but also use external training tools and advisors. All Emerald Group consultants receive weekly group training and a monthly review to develop areas of weakness and set objectives. We believe that our people are our strongest asset and adopt ‘best practice’ recruitment techniques

The Culture
The Emerald Group currently employs 30 members of staff; many have worked with us for over five years. We are a social firm where team outings and lunches are common place. Throughout the year we have company incentives for exceptional performance and an annual black tie Christmas or New Year Party for employees and partners.
