Trainee Recruitment Consultant (m/w/d)

Due to our success and the expansion of our divisions, we are currently seeking to employ Trainee Recruitment Consultants for our office in Frankfurt, the role can also be based in Plymouth or Basingstoke.

Purpose of Role

Sales based recruitment position developing the skills and behaviours that are required in order to successfully source candidates and place candidates and generate recruitment fees on behalf of the Company. The Trainee Recruitment Consultant will manage the recruitment cycle from start to finish including the negotiation of terms of business and business development with support from more experienced members of the team.

Key Accountabilities

  • Build strong working relationships with candidates by attending meetings to ensure future and repeat business and to strengthen brand image
  • Attend client visits with more senior members of the team in order to gain market knowledge
  • Generate leads and referrals for Consultants through effective market research and canvassing
  • Show willing and enthusiasm whilst registering assignments with a client obtaining all relevant information required in order to work on the assignment effectively
  • Source appropriate candidates for assignments managing the recruitment cycle from start to finish and the successful placement of candidates
  • Ensure the Company database is kept fully up to date and all activity is logged accordingly
  • Strengthen negotiation skills by assisting the team in the negotiation of terms of business, offer terms and conditions and business development as directed
  • Confidently identify and approach new candidates demonstrating effective headhunting skills
  • Build knowledge base of recruitment industry and industry sector
  • Complete administration duties as required
  • Ensure the security of all private and confidential information and data at all times


Experience required:

Technical and Behavioural Skills

  • Excellent communications skills written and verbal with the ability to communicate at all levels in English. Fluency in German is preferable.
  • Target driven and able to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Flexible in approach and able to adapt to varying situations
  • Demonstrate good organisational and administrative skills
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm for achieving goals with a positive ‘can do’ attitude
  • Confident telephone manner
  • Committed and professional with a strong desire to succeed
  • Good IT skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Degree educated or equivalent
  • Previous Recruitment or Sales experience would be advantageous
