Our client is looking for a Terrorism Exposure Analyst to work in their London office.

Job Purpose:

  • To assist the Modelling Team to provide a Catastrophe Modelling function for our client concentrating particularly on the Terrorism account



  • Cleansing of data for the Terrorism account
    • Data received from underwriters is cleansed accurately and into the accepted format
    • Ensure required level of geocoding is achieved for all accounts and any issues are flagge
    • Cleansed data is checked for precision and accuracy against underwriting slips
  • Provide underwriting team with exposure accumulation results for individual policies
    • Information is presented in concise reports. This information is logical, accurate and provides the Underwriters with all relevant accumulation data needed to underwrite the risk
    • Realistic Disaster Scenario (RDS) information for each account is presented clearly and accurately. This information will enable the Underwriters to take a view on each account’s RDS contribution
    • Manage exposures to Terrorism RDS scenarios and internal deterministic events, locations and current limits. Review internal events periodically to ensure they remain relevant based on exposure and current terrorism outlook
    • Positive feedback from the Terrorism underwriting team
  • Terrorism D&F portfolio in RiskLink
    • Keep the Terrorism database up to date
    • Ensure policy data in the database is in accordance with data entered on the underwriting system
    • All active written policies are in the database accurately and in a timely manner
    • Create exposure maps where require
    • Produce monthly reports which are signed off by the underwriter and passed to Catastrophe Modelling Manager
  • Reinsurance information
    • Ensure outwards reinsurer requests are met in a timely manner
  • Stay aware of the current terrorism/civil unrest/war outlook
    • Produce exposure reports in the case of an event
  • Processes and procedures
    • Keep the terrorism process document up to date
  • Ensure own continuous training and development
    • Ensure own training plan is monitored and completed
  • Take responsibility for own and colleagues’ Health & Safety at all times
    • Statutory, personal and Company Health & Safety policy regulations are adhered to
  • To ensure AMAL Customers are treated fairly at all times, in accordance with the Conduct Risk Policy and other relevant policies and procedures
    • Compliance with applicable Lloyd’s Minimum Standards and AMAL policies and procedures
    • Satisfactory performance as reflected in relevant Conduct Risk MI
