Our client is looking to permanently hire a Senior Risk Analyst in ERM to join their team in London.

Overview

Key Duties:

  • Provide risk management insight, oversight and challenge, working with the business to deliver best practice in the management of financial, operating, emerging and reputational risks
  • Support the delivery of the quarterly ORSA and process
  • Engage with various business units as part of the Risk and Control Self-Assessment process, helping to provide assurance on an integrated basis
  • Investigate the root causes of risks, liaising with various teams to manage issues and incidents
  • Develop and perform risk analytics to give additional insight into other types of risk affecting the firm, e.g. via stress and scenario testing and considering economic, social, data and emerging risks; and
  • Collaborate with the Risk Challenge and the Internal Model governance risk teams and the senior members of the Risk function

Experience required:

  • Strong background in a technical subject, with appreciation of alternative approaches to managing complex risks
  • Good understanding of the operations of a general insurance company, including the risks faced by different processes
  • Experience of risk management within a general insurance company is preferred, but not essential and
  • Good understanding of general insurance products and risk concepts
  • Strong background in a technical subject, with appreciation of alternative approaches to managing complex risks
  • Able to foster strong and effective relationships within the Risk Function and with various partners in the business
  • Able to provide valuable insights into various risk themes through clear analysis with robust foundations
  • Strong report-writing and presentation skills; able to support the preparation of Board and committee reports / packs
