Our client is looking for a Financial Reporting Actuary, ideally with a background in life insurance and /or pensions. If you have IFRS and Solvency II experience and you are looking for your next challenge, then we would like to hear from you.

Overview

The purpose of the role is to provide support to the financial reporting for the company and will also include risk management (risk modelling, solvency monitoring, providing matching information and financial analysis).

  • Supporting the With-Profits Actuary
  • Supporting the Business

 

Key skills:

  • Able to build, inspire and motivate the team to go above and beyond basic BAU requirements
  • Able to interpret complex financial information and assess its implications
  • Management skills to organise, prioritise and co-ordinate the work of the relevant teams

Qualifications required:

  • FIA qualification
  • Actuarial CPD requirements

Experience required:

  • Financial reporting experience in UK life company
  • Experience of managing a team preferred but not essential

 

Other requirements:

  • Working knowledge of actuarial modelling systems
  • Knowledge of regulatory reporting frameworks for IFRS and SII
  • Knowledge of with-profits or unit-linked business and the management of With-Profits funds
