Overview

Key Duties:

Responsibilities:

  • Make the link between the AAME and entities thanks to knowledge of assets on the one hand and of Continental European Life insurance balance sheet and capital on the other hand:
    • Make AAME understand what the needs and constraints are
    • Make the entities understand why the proposed assets are beneficial and how they work
  • Ensure the design of efficient SAAs on a risk-adjusted basis
  • Group responsibility in the identification, structuring and execution of complex projects and initiatives:
    • Related to asset, capital or ALM solutions
    • Ensuring coordination of all stakeholders involved
    • Bringing expertise on accounting, regulatory and legal aspects and leading / coordinating the required analysis
    • Involvement in / coordination and push of specific focus initiatives at present
    • Reduce overall amount of liquidity in conjunction with liquidity pool
    • Implementation of reinsurance specific investment vehicles
    • Ensure readiness to lever up balance sheet
    • Restarting of real estate platform
  • Efficient multi-credit / trenching

Investment Performance:

Responsibilities:

Lead the annual target setting process:

  • SAA review cycle
  • Scorecard setting
  • Proactively get involved to steer AAME and Entities to achieve targets
  • Ensure adherence to KPIs covering asset performance, risk, liquidity and capital consistent across the group and tracked in monthly scorecards:
    • Scorecard dashboards
    • Investment reports

Governance and infrastructure:

Responsibilities:

  • Group Investment Committee and working groups:
    • Coordinate agenda and content
    • Co-run the meetings
    • Ensure follow-up and implementation
  • Act as a point of contact for AAME together with the company’s Risk Management:
    • Reporting and performance monitoring
    • Execution
    • Coordination and problem resolution
  • Lead and support local entities in investment-related topics:
    • ALM planning, SAA approvals
    • Execution
    • Coordination and problem resolution
  • Complete review, enhancement and alignment of investment guidelines across the Group
  • Oversee the delivery on operational requirements, the design of the investment front / middle / back office model and the ESG responsibility plan

M&A:

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the due-diligence and design of SAA / solutions in relation to new targets
  • Group representation on the investment integration workstream

Experience required:

  • 5 – 7+ years of relevant experience in Investment Banking or Asset Management
  • Strong managerial / organisational skills, with demonstrable experience in managing complex projects end to end
  • Strong fixed-income multi asset expertise, particularly various declination of credit and real assets
  • Knowledge of Continental European Life insurance balance sheet and capital
  • Knowledge of the associated accounting, regulatory and legal aspects
