Cyber Exposure Data Process Automation Analyst Developer (m/f/d)


Our client is looking for a Cyber Exposure Data Process Automation Analyst Developer (m/f/d) for their London Office. In this role you will work with Cyber Modelers on the analysis of policy and exposure data and to design, develop and test software components to source Physical and IT Cyber policy and exposure data from various sources, to map and flow exposures to the Cyber Loss Modelling Tool and to prepare and support MI reporting of cyber exposures and losses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the Cyber Modelers in preparing data for Loss Modelling
  • Profile and analyse data requirements, transformation rules for implementation, data quality and data completeness
  • Work with business and systems analysts and with cyber modelers to prepare, review and accept user stories and/or functional designs
  • Design and develop software components to source and process inputs from spreadsheets, databases and flat files
  • Develop reporting components as SQL and Excel extracts and/or Power BI reports
  • Integrate the software components into an existing processing framework
  • Prepare test data and data extracts in support of QA and UAT activities
  • Prepare builds and release of components into test and production environments
  • Prepare deployment instructions, release notes and key operating procedures
  • Handover software deliveries and documentation to service management and support teams and to business users
  • Triage and fix defects and resolve queries raised during testing and in production




  • Proficient in data analysis and profiling and associated tools
  • Proficient in designing and developing in SQL Server, SSIS and Power BI. MDS is desirable
  • Proficient in the design and development of components that support data mapping, data lineage, Auditing, data governance and information security
  • Ability to work in an agile delivery team working with a backlog and user stories
  • Ability to build and maintain strong, cohesive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and users’ communities
  • Strong sense of prioritisation and execution against critical deliverables, coupled with a sense of personal ownership for key projects deliverables
  • Tenacity in following up on and validating requirements, assumptions, risk mitigation and issues resolution

Qualifications required:


  • A recognised degree


  • Degree in an IT-related field preferred

Experience required:


  • 5+ years analysis and development experience
  • Strong data mapping and profiling / quality analysis – manually and with automated tools
  • Development of data sourcing / transformation processes in T-SQL and/or SSIS
  • Working as a team member with Business Analysts and Users
  • Experience in the use of Excel



  • Insurance experience, understanding of policy and exposure details and associated data structures
  • Data governance, lineage, audit and information security
  • Master Data Management
  • Power BI reporting and dashboard design
  • Agile delivery (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)
  • Programming in C#, ASP.NET, VBA, T4, BIML
  • SQL Server MDS / DQS
  • Visio ERD modelling
