Our client is looking to hire a Catastrophe Data Manager to join them on a fixed term contract in their London based office.

Overview

Key Duties:

  • Managing the workload of the offshore team to meet SLAs
  • Overseeing regular quality analysis to ensure offshore team are meeting onshore expectations
  • Assisting the offshore team with training initiatives to ensure all team members are operating at full potential
  • Consistently developing standards and best practise within the team to deliver efficiency improvements
  • Effective communication with the wider Catastrophe Management Team as well as any other stakeholders of the data cleansing process regarding data queries
  • Devise and manage projects that contribute to innovation within the catastrophe data cleansing realm
  • Have the confidence to drive process change by overhauling existing processes and implementing methodologies that streamline workflow and processes

Experience required:

  • Previous experience preparing exposure data for catastrophe model software
  • Previous experience managing and motivating an offshore team with the ability to plan and prioritise workloads
  • An understanding of database systems and the ability to manipulate large data sets in Excel (VBA experience highly desirable)
  • Proven track record of data audit
  • Good knowledge of global geography and understanding of natural peril hazards
