Analyst – Actuarial & Analytics


Our client is looking to hire a Analyst in Actuarial & Analytics to join their team in London on a Permanent basis.

Key Duties:

  • Support the delivery of client solutions including but not limited to reserving, loss forecasting, Solvency II Actuarial Function services and capital modelling. Develop sound technical understanding in at least two distinct product areas
  • Communicate confidently with colleagues (and as experience develops with internal and external clients) in relation to data gathering and cleansing
  • Complete standard template analyses in manageable stages, while bringing exceptions to the attention of the reviewer to allow the offering of tailor-made solutions as required by the specific circumstances of each assignment
  • Take responsibility for component tasks of non-standard projects in manageable steps under direction from senior colleagues
  • Develop knowledge of how to compare emerging experience with expectations based on the last similar analysis and identify areas of divergence and possible reasons for this for discussion with senior colleagues
  • Perform sensitivity tests of key assumptions and develop understanding of the possible impacts
  • Assist senior colleagues in drafting formal written reports using standard reporting templates
  • Develop an understanding of key assumptions, sensitivities and uncertainties in relation to standard methodologies
  • Responsible for working in accordance with the the firm’s Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the firm’s Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company

Qualifications required:

  • A minimum 2:1 bachelor’s degree in a numerate/semi-numerate discipline (or equivalent)
  • An ‘A’ or above in Maths A-level (or equivalent)
