Actuarial Change Assistant Manager


Our client is looking to hire a Actuarial Change Assistant Manager to join their team in Bristol on a Permanent basis.

Key Duties:

  • Understand requirements from other areas of the business and design model solutions
  • Develop efficient model changes in line with the firm’s coding standards with consideration to the impact that the changes will have on downstream processes
  • Test those changes ensuring all impacts are understood and justified
  • Communicate effectively to stakeholders
  • Whilst ensuring overall compliance with their model change control process


Other Skills:

  • Strong written and oral communication skills and be able to communicate complex actuarial information to non-actuarial stakeholder
  • You’ll work well within a team as well as being capable of managing your own time

Qualifications required:

  • Nearly or newly qualified Actuary or someone who has made sufficient progress through exams before building experience of modelling.

Experience required:

  • Good knowledge of and ability to apply actuarial concepts and techniques and the ability to identify key or unexpected outputs and investigate underlying issues
  • Have Actuarial Model Development experience
  • Must have excellent Microsoft excel skills
  • Strong VBA skills would be an advantage
