Due to increasing client demands The Emerald Group set up its retained search division in order to fill business critical positions. Companies are finding that traditional contingency methods are sometimes ineffective within markets where competition for high calibre candidates is fierce.
The Executive Search team only processes a few roles at any one time which enables the consultants to work in partnership with each client and provide a high level of service and feedback.
The approach to a retained search is very different to a contingency role and is beneficial to the client in many ways. Where a contingency role is filled by using reactive advertising and database driven searches, a retained search is approached in a 'proactive' manner via referrals, direct headhunting and targeted advertising. This methodology provides dedicated research and resource to deliver a shortlist of the most relevant individuals in the market.
